About the Site
I spend quite a bit of time on the piano coming up with medleys. It's a 2-pronged process for me. The first way is by using coding. I have a csv file containing a select number of songs from my extended playlist. By using some urllib and shady manipulation, I was able to get the various chord progressions of different songs. Sorting by BPM, I have a coherent flow of songs to follow in the chord-centric medleys. My second method is the accidental method, for I often go on 'transcribing sprees', where I pick out any random song and start playing it by ear. Eventually, this led me to smoothly transition into other songs.
Quite alot to say about this piece, but not here. You can find the description in the links below. But this is the culmination of my theory knowledge thus far, along with the various embellishments and modulations I made along the way. My favourite part to play would the false buildup to Home. This section is where I used the almighty Sharp 1 in the VI chord, a chord I truly enjoy hearing. Other than that, a few 9th extensions were made as well as an 11th extension.

This was quite fun to make, since many of my favourite songs fall under this category. Centralised around the Lydian mode of the Major scale, the progression has a very uplifting and positive feel to it, although the mood can change quite a bit.

Definitely my longest piece. I spent a good 2 months creating this, coming up with suitable transitions and mashups. However, looking back at it, I don't really like what I've done to it. Probably shouldn't have wasted so much time on this, since nobody is going to look at it anyway.

One time playthrough wasn't enough for me to transcribe this. But using some logic, the pieces actually fit quite well into this song. vi-V-ii-vi-IV-I-V is quite a cool progression to have. I always love the IV chord when it becomes the semi-resolution point in the progression!

The ABBA feeling is strong in this one! TBH I went way too far overboard with the harmonisation in this one, seeing as though I was into Jacob Collier's music at the time. I saw this mistake and decided to tone it down alot for subsequent pieces. I'm gonna stand by my judgement to include the glisses though :) The chords weren't too complicated, with IV-ii-vi-V filling up the chorus.
Instructions to play: If the jumps are too big, you can just take smaller ones. Just adjust the notes according to the chord.

I don't really like this song. There's only like one semi-interesting portion of the song but that's about it. I mainly did this song because I thought the score would get views. This song was announced beforehand, so I had time to prepare beforehand. I ended up finishing the score in 1h. However, due to some complications, the YouTube score needed like another 3 hours to post. More still, people were already posting covers 30 minutes after the song release.

I've liked The Script for quite a long time, with memorable songs like Breakeven and Man who could not be moved still being in my playlist. Although the chord progression is plainly simple, it was very fun to improvise on the prechorus I-V-vi-IV, especially when I really accented the low notes. epic.
Instructions to play: The jumps are quite big on this one so maybe some light pedalling should work big time.

Wahhh this one is hard to play. I can't seem to get any of the timings right for the left hand. That compounded with the large jumps makes this piece pretty hard. Still, the prechorus is very simple yet powerful, following the vi-IV-I-V progression.
Instructions to play: Just play with power for the prechorus (I like playing that part).

My second piece ever! I tried to be a little more inventive for my second piece. However, looking back at it, the secondary melodies I added don't make sense at all. But hey I tried.

Innocence is my second favourite Avril Lavigne song and was one of my favourites growing up in Secondary School. So I decided to make this. The chorus is always very nostalgic so I decided to emphasise on that part quite alot.
