About the Site
In pursuit of self-improvement, I always find myself picking up new hobbies and interests to pass the time. People often catch me doing random things and asking why. To that, my response has always been 'Why not?'. After all, there is much to learn. From the outer reaches of space, to the inner workings of the quantum world, one can never finish learning. Here are some of the topics that piqued my interest over the years, sharing relevant resources along the way.
Timeline of interests
Like many people, my interests change drastically over time. Nevertheless, I hold some of them much closer than others.
Youtube
All my interests tie into Youtube pretty well. Although I do read scholarly articles and research papers quite often, Youtube has been the place I get interested in many topics. In fact, I am subscribed to over 800 channels currently! Throughout this site, I share some of my many channel recommendations.
Languages
I am not so sociable. But I do love learning new languages. Be it programming or spoken or non-spoken, I love exploring the different ways a particular idea can be articulated.
Geography
Geography has been a long time friend of mine. It forms the ever-essential bridge between astronomy and linguistics, a vital role that literally shapes the world around us.
Astronomy
In the heavens, there are plenty stars. Some very big stars, some very small stars. Some not so big stars, some not so small stars.
Music
I've been into music for several portions of my life. From playing Piano to singing in a Choir, my music efforts shifted. Now, I compose and transcribe music, posting my work online.
Math
A sizeable portion of my time in 2017-2018 was spent playing around with graphs on the Desmos app, a tool I often use today, designing graphs and such.
Photoshop
I've only just started getting into photoshop not too long ago, photoshopping my friends in ridiculous fashions. But I also use it to further my other interests.
Gaming
Of course, gaming has played an important role in my life. Be it mobile, console or pc, gaming holds a special place in my heart, just like many people.
Memorisation
I need to keep my mind in shape and memorisation seems to be a relaxing way to do it. The kinds of memorisation I do are mostly pointless and useless but somehow they seems to be satisfying every time.
Dinosaurs
Many boys have had a dinosaur phase in their life. Mine just happened to go a little overboard.
Photography
Most people have some interest in photography. The categories are endless. But the kind I like to do is background photography.
Quizzes
I'm constantly testing my understanding and memory. So I take quizzes on Jetpunk, Sporcle and Geoguessr regularly.
Chemistry
I started to like chemistry way before I liked any of the other sciences. Memorising the periodic table by age 9, I enjoyed reading encyclopaedias on it.
Memes / Reddit
Who doesn't love memes? We all have our own methods of receiving our daily dose of memes. Here are mine.
TV / Netflix / Movies
TV also makes up a big chunk of my life. Here are some of my most memorable ones.
Miscellaneous
There are many many more small interests that I've developed over the years. I'll just dump them here.
